Day 3 (Lanzarote) Marella Explorer Christmas Cruise

Welcome to Lanzarote. Our stop here did not quite go according to plan! We booked an excursion to Playa Blanca to go to the beach. On the morning the weather did not look great but we thought it would be ok so we continued with the trip. We were both only wearing t shirts and shorts. As we left the port it started to rain and it did not stop all day! We arrived in Playa Blanca in the pouring rain and had approx 3 hours in the resort. As well as the rain it was also a bit cold. We ended up having to buy umbrellas and a hoodie! Certainly not what we had planned. However, Playa Blanca is very pretty and we will definitely come back to experience it hopefully with better weather. At least we have a full sea day to recover!
