Wondering what an Ocean View Stateroom looks like on board the Carnival Splendor Cruise Ship. Here is Room 1442 which we stayed in recently.
Note: We have never stayed in an Ocean View Stateroom before as we have only ever booked Balcony Rooms. I was prepared to feel claustrophobic but it was the exact opposite. In fact, there is more space inside the room because the space the balcony space takes up is inside the room instead of outside.
The only complaint about room 1442 is that there was noticeably more noise and vibrations on Sea days when the ship is going faster. You get used to it eventually but it is definitely better when cruising shorter distances between islands at slower speeds.
Other people nearby said they did notice any noise or vibrations.
I would definitely consider staying in an OceanView Stateroom again if the price was right.
Perhaps, personally, we would prefer an Oceanview room more toward midships and away from the propeller.
Thank you for watching.
