Exploring Hobart on the Grayline Hobart Hopper BUS - Pacific Adventure Port Day

We arrived in Hobart, Tasmania, onboard the Pacific Adventure. As the available time in Hobart was only short (sail away at 2.30pm), we decided to explore the City via the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. We simply walked down the gangway and then a short stroll into town but soon realised the Hop-On Hop-Off bus was booked out until 12.30pm, so we opted for the Grayline Hobart Hopper Bus instead. The bus took us around the harbour and beaches. Hobart has an obvious affinity with boating. We could imagine it after the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. The bus then wound up through the hills to see the mixture of older style and modern homes. We looped up in the valley almost to the Cascades Brewery but didn't stop there. Past the Cascades Female Factory, then down through the City, past the Tasman Bridge before looping back to the starting point. The Hobart Hopper constant commentary was informative and was value for money. We felt it gave us the essence of Hobart and enough incentive to come back one day to see more. We could have gone straight back to the ship, but opted to walk around the city to see some of the older buildings. We went into the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, which had FREE ENTRY.
