I spent years saying cruises were not real travel, without ever taking one.
So when I finally got on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, I thought I was testing the cruise. Really, I was testing how many of my opinions were actually mine.
This is the first episode of Borrowed Opinions, a series about the beliefs we inherit, repeat, and defend before we have really experienced something for ourselves. What started as a first cruise vlog turned into something a little different, a story about bias, identity, travel snobbery, and what “real travel” even means.
If you like cinematic vlogs, reflective travel films, and story-driven videos that are about more than just the destination, this one is for you.
