CRUISE NEWS: Woman Jumps Into Water at Port & Hurricane Trouble CRUISE NOW
The 2025 Alaska cruise season has officially begun, and it's off to a rather bizarre start, thanks to the suspiciously strange actions of one passenger.
Just recently, in Juneau, Alaska, a woman unexpectedly jumped into the cold waters near the port. The moment was clearly captured by a passenger aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

While her identity remains unknown, it was definitely not an accident the woman, dressed in nothing more than shorts, a t-shirt, and what looked like Crocs, was seen sprinting toward the edge and visibly taking a deep breath before leaping in.
This reckless stunt not only caused a commotion at the dock but also drew quite a bit of online criticism as the TikTok video quickly went viral.

Truth be told, whether it was a dare or a prank, it was an incredibly foolish move. First of all, it could have been life-threatening hypothermia can set in within an hour in water below 70°F, and within just 10–15 minutes in water under 60°F.
Even in June, temperatures in Juneau average between a low of 49°F and a high of 62°F, but the water can be even colder than the air.
Secondly, actions like this can send the wrong message to young, impressionable kids who might think it’s just a fun game. It's truly an inexcusable act.

And of course, stunts like this don't go without consequences. Just like the woman from a recent fake TikTok prank on a Carnival cruise who claimed it was all just for entertainment she still ended up with a lifetime ban from the cruise line.
If this woman in Juneau turns out to be a cruise passenger, she could very well face the same fate: being permanently banned from cruising with that line.
The string of unexpected incidents at the Juneau port didn’t end there, as the Celebrity Edge cruise ship, operated by Celebrity Cruises, faced a serious mishap.
