This vlog documents our quest to see the Northern Lights and survive an epic Icelandic snow storm.
We kick things off in Reykjavík with a walking tour through the city’s cozy streets, enjoy a steaming soup and pancakes at Icelandic Streetfood, take a weird detour into the Icelandic Phallological Museum, visit the Hallgrímskirkja church, check out the Sun Voyager sculpture, and go for a ride at FlyOver Iceland.
Then comes our Golden Circle day trip in the middle of a once-in-a-generation snow storm. We visit the Blue Lagoon, see the volcanic bowl of Kerið, marvel at the tectonic drama of Þingvellir National Park, and witness the thunder of Gullfoss Falls.
On our final day, we visit the Perlan Museum, take in a blissful ritual at the Sky Lagoon, and finally see the Northern Lights in all their glory.
