Welcome to Episode 4 of our Japan and Alaska Vlog series with Cunard.
Our 4-part series (+ a full ship tour walkthrough, and room tour) was filmed over 21 nights during our exploration of Yokohama & Tokyo, and cruise aboard Cunard Queen Elizabeth, from Yokohama to Vancouver, May-June 2023.
This episode covers our adventure on a nature & wildlife cruise in Sitka, a science lecture (edited to 10 mins) of a fascinating NASA Space Shuttle emergency, visit to Victoria's Butchart Gardens, and scenic sail-in to Vancouver.
THE SERIES DOCUMENTS
Yokohama (where we made our own Instant Ramen at the Cup Noodles Museum, attended a Japanese baseball game, toured the Port Museum and training ship Nippon Maru, and Red Brick Warehouses).
Tokyo (where we visited Senso-ji Temple, Ueno Park Zoo, Shinjuku Garden, Shibuya Crossing, and The Pokemon Center).
Aomori (where we visited Japan's largest seated Buddha at the Seiryu-Ji Temple, and festival floats at the Nebula House “Wa Rasse”).
Otaru (where we visited a Wine facility, a Herring Mansion resembling a miniature Japanese castle, and the historic Canal District).
Seward (visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and rode the Aerial Tram at the Alyeska Ski Resort).
Cruised Hubbard Glacier.
Sitka (where we sailed the Sitka Sound to observe sea life).
Ketchikan was scheduled, but ship was diverted to Victoria, B.C, so full day at sea was substituted (where we enjoy a full science lecture about a space shuttle emergency, & finish the evening with a fun concert in the ship's Irish Pub).
Victoria, B.C. (where we visit Butchart Gardens).
