Cabot Trail & Cape Smokey Gondola Ride! | Sydney, Nova Scotia on HAL Volendam

It's day 5 on my Canada & New England cruise on the Holland America Volendam and today we're in Sydney, Nova Scotia! It's my first time to Nova Scotia and I have an excursion booked with Viator (see link below for specific details) to drive part of the way along the Cabot Trail near Cape Breton National Park. It ended up being just me and one other couple, so a very small group compared to the big bus tours I've done recently! My excursion includes "lunch" (more like... brunch?) and a ride up the Cape Smokey Gondola with views that truly go for MILES! It's an absolutely *gorgeous* day with perfectly clear blue skies that afford me amazing views of an area that is more often than not shrouded in fog and clouds.
