Utopia of the Seas will sail from Port Canaveral starting in July 2024, but exclusively on short cruises of 3 or 4 nights duration. The cruises will include a stop at Perfect Day CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island. Port Miami was shutdown completely for half a day last Sunday, when two boats collided. The closure caused chaos for around 16,000 passengers! Carnival Australia is pushing pre-cruise purchases, and at the same time, Carnival Corporation now holds $7.2B USD in customer deposits, a large portion of which is made up of pre-cruise purchases - makes sense! Pacific Explorer has arrived in New Zealand and will sail the country's first cruise season since before the pandemic.
