In this episode of Crew Diary, I finally joined a shore excursion with our guests in Dubai β and it turned out to be one of my favorite days so far!
We started the tour in the historic Bastakiya (Al Fahidi) heritage area, where I learned more about the traditional life, architecture, and history of Dubai and the UAE. Walking through the narrow streets really felt like stepping back in time.
From there, we took a classic Abra water taxi and crossed Dubai Creek to the other side of the city. It was such a simple ride, but also one of the most authentic experiences. After that, we explored the famous Gold Souq and Spice Souq, full of colors, smells, and energy β a must-see place in Dubai!
Our next stop was the beautiful Jumeirah Mosque, where we had time for a photoshoot and to admire its stunning architecture. We finished the excursion with another photo stop at the iconic Burj Al Arab, one of the most luxurious and recognizable hotels in the world.
What made this day even better?
π I really enjoyed learning more about the history of the city and the country
π The excursion was well organized and interesting
π And yesβ¦ I joined it for FREE π
After a long and busy day, I felt quite tired, but I still decided to go out in the evening with my friend. We visited the Level 43 Sky Lounge, a beautiful rooftop with an incredible view of the city skyline. The atmosphere, the view, and the food were absolutely amazing β the perfect way to end the day in Dubai.
