I couldn't see ANYTHING in Bar Harbor, Maine! | HAL Volendam!

It's the final day -- day 7 -- of my Canada & New England cruise on the Holland America Volendam, I can't believe we're already to the end! I woke up to... absolutely nothing outside my window! And by nothing, I mean a complete wall of fog completely surrounding the ship! I thought for sure it would burn off by mid-morning, but no such luck! Along with the fog brought an unfortunate decision around the excursion I had booked today which I was so looking forward to - but alas, sometimes things go wrong and we just have to adjust! I spent the morning on the ship waiting for the fog to clear up before jumping on a tender to head to land. Fortunately the weather was significantly better once I reached shore and I spent a lovely afternoon walking around and exploring Bar Harbor and having a delicious shoreside lunch. On my final evening I tried my first specialty dining restaurant, Pinnacle Grill, on the Volendam, and then began the task of packing up to prepare to head home tomorrow once we arrive in Boston.
