Four more mistakes by novice cruisers
1 Booking in too many shore excursions when an itinerary has back-to-back port days. It can be exhausting and you won't get an opportunity to relax and enjoy the cruise
2. Overpacking toiletries, You don't need full shampoo and conditioner bottles for a short cruise. Take half-filled bottles. It is weight you don't need especially if you are flying in for a cruise.
3 Going to the shops that the cruise lines promote for port stops. It is commissioned based and a share goes to the cruise line. Spread your tourist dollar around small independent shops and stalls. Ethical tourism.
4 Standing in line at customer service. It is open 24 hours a day, go at a time when there are no crowds like the middle of the night.
