I'm wearing my cruise scarf outside of Andrews Airport parking about to drop off the car and my bag is ready to let's go on Carnival Luminosa.
I've arrived to get on Carnival Luminosa.
I have dropped off my luggage.
I'm about to stand in a queue, I’ve got my mask ready if they require masking inside the terminal or on the boat.
People are coming to the cruise terminal in various ways. I came via the airport parking, people coming by taxis, and private drop-off.
As we pass the car park there were some vacant spaces. You probably could have done a drive-up Park in Wilson's. I tried to par to book and pay online for Wilson’s, but it didn't work so that's why I ended up with Andrew's Airport Parking for my cruise
How cute is she, Carnival Luminosa.
Originally Costa Luminosa, another one that's moved from one Cruise Line to another.
She doesn't have the traditional Carnival fluke on her, but she does have the carnival colours.
2009, she was built, she's got I think 12 decks for passengers 16 decks in total.
Let's go explore.
One thing I have done a little bit differently on this cruise is I printed off my hard copies which was a mistake for that last time on Carnival Splendor out of Sydney.
I’ve done my RAT test.
If you didn't print it out there is a little stand just over here where they are giving you the temporary boarding passes, like in Sydney.
It is a little bit more structured with them having a little desk rather than just standing in the middle of the crowd.
The travelator isn't working completely so the lady offered me the convenience of using the lifts. I greatly appreciate it, thank you very much. That was very convenient.
What a very crowded space Everyone seems to be keeping their distance. Everyone's masked. Some support check-in. RAT testing is over there.
I am only red loyal with Carnival, I don't get any priorities.
The next couple of cruises will get me on to the next level. It might get me to Priority boarding.
The process seems to be going very smoothly regardless of what loyalty level.
After a very quick check-in, you still have to keep your boarding pass out to go through the next couple of checks.
After my long walk, some ladies scanned me so that I can get onto the gantry.
Let's see if I get scanned again.
Immediately on board, I get directed to my Muster Station.
Cruise number 40, I get to see how to put on a life jacket.
I was allocated a 12:30 check-in for Carnival Luminosa out of Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. With the traffic on the way, it took approx. 2 hours. The check-in process was quick, streamlined, smooth, good distance & flow.
Whether it is the size of the terminal, whether it's the staff, I have absolutely no idea why this one always has seemed to work out. This is my third check-in here at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.
